Washington Park
From downtown Michigan City, take US 421 North (Franklin Street) to 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street. Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine Street over Trail Creek to Lake Shore Drive. Washington Park will be on the left.

Stop 2 California Avenue
From downtown Michigan City, take US 421 North (Franklin Street) to 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street. Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine Street over Trail Creek to Lake Shore Drive, past Washington Park. Turn left onto California Avenue. Public Parking with a resident park sticker is at the end of the street.

Stop 7 Sheridan Beach
From downtown Michigan City, take US 421 North (Franklin Street) to 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street. Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine Street over Trail Creek to Lake Shore Drive, past Washington Park to Stop 7 to the Beachwalk Development.

Stop 20 Long Beach From downtown Michigan City, take US 421 North (Franklin Street) to 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street. Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine Street over Trail Creek to Lake Shore Dive, past Washington Park to Stop 20. |
Stop 24 Long Beach From downtown Michigan City, take US 421 North (Franklin Street) to 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street. Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine Street passing over Trail Creek, past Washington Park to Stop 24 at the Long Beach Transfer Station. |
Stop 31 Shoreland Hills From downtown Michigan City, take US 421 North (Franklin Street) to 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street. Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine Street over Trail Creek, past Washington Park to Stop 31 at Shoreland Hills, across from Long Beach Realty. |
Stop 34 Duneland Beach From downtown Michigan City, take US 421 North (Franklin Street) to 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street. Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine Street over Trail Creek, past Washington Park to Stop 34 at Duneland Beach. |
Stop 37 Michiana Shores From downtown Michigan City, take US 421 North (Franklin Street) to 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street. Turn left onto Pine Street. Follow Pine Street over Trail Creek, past Washington Park to Stop 37 to Michiana Shores. |
Inland Beaches
Lower Fish Lake From downtown LaPorte, take Monroe Street (S.R. 4) south out of town; S.R. 4 makes a left turn at the S.R. 104 junction. Follow S.R. 4 over the overpass until you come to the third street on the right. Turn right onto South Longshore. Turn left onto Lakeview Drive. The beach parking lot is to the left. |
Upper Fish Lake From downtown LaPorte, take Monroe Street (S.R. 4) south out of town; S.R. 4 makes a left turn at the S.R. 104 junction. Follow S.R. 4 over the overpass until you come to the first street on the left. Turn left onto North Longshore. Turn right onto Ida. The beach is straight ahead. |
Hudson Lake From downtown LaPorte, go east on Lincolnway (Highway 2). At the Highway 2 and Highway 20 intersection, continue straight to continue on Highway 20. At the first flashing light, turn left onto Emery Road. Turn right onto Chicago Trail, which is the first road on the right. Continue on Chicago Trail until the road begins to curve. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive. The beach is about ¼ mile on the left. |
Pine Lake – Kiwanis Park From downtown LaPorte, go north on Highway 35 (Pine Lake Avenue). Kiwanis Park is at the split of Highway 35 and Highway 39. |
Pine Lake – Waverly Road From downtown LaPorte, go north on Highway 35. Turn left onto Waverly Road. The beach sample is taken across from the entrance to Soldiers Memorial Park. |
Pine Lake – Assembly Holton Road From downtown LaPorte, travel north on Highway 35 (Pine Lake Avenue) to Johnson Road. Turn left onto Johnson Road. About ¼ mile at the top of the hill is Holton Road. Turn left onto Holton Road. About ¾ mile on the left hand side of the road is a small turn off. Proceed down the stairs; the sample is taken at the beach. |
New Stone Lake Beach From downtown LaPorte, travel north on Highway 35 (Pine Lake Avenue). Turn left onto Lake Shore Drive past the LaPorte Parks and Recreation Department. At the stop sign, turn right and follow the road around the parking lot to the playground area. Three samples are taken here - two within the guarded buoyed area and one just west outside the guarded buoyed area. |
Old Stone Lake Beach From downtown LaPorte, take Highway 35 (Pine Lake Avenue) north to Weller Avenue. Turn left onto Weller Avenue and follow that to Greenleaf. Turn right onto Greenleaf, which turns into Lakeshore Drive. Old Stone Lake Beach is at the end of Greenleaf, where it makes a 90 degree turn, turning into Lakeshore Drive. |
Stone Lake Public Boat Launch From downtown LaPorte, take Pine Lake Avenue (Highway 35) north to Weller Avenue. Turn left onto Weller Avenue. Go through two four way stops and then turn right onto Craven Drive. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive. Stone Lake Public Boat Launch is 0.2miles on the right. |
